Overview Salary: $35 - 45/hour depending upon experience Napa Valley Physical Therapy Center, a member of Therapy Partners Group, has been the premier provider for outpatient orthopedics serving Napa County and surrounding communities since 1952. The Physical Therapist Assistant shall provide assistance to patient treatment following an individualized plan of care and providing treatment through all phases of physical therapy under the direction of the Physical Therapist and ensure they are accomplished consistent with TPG policy and procedures, and requirements of referring physician. The physical therapist assistant shall assist in the administration of office and perform other duties as required. Responsibilities PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Ensure every patient receives a thorough and comprehensive customized physical therapy regimen, while receiving a unique experience. Ensure fluid treatment progression via ongoing scheduling of patients. With assistance of physical therapist, develop and implement physical therapy treatment programs based on each patient's particular needs. Assist patients with all phases of physical therapy treatment and techniques. Discuss treatment with patients and record patient conditions and responses to treatments in charts after each visit. Complete daily patient care notes, progress notes, discharge notes and other required forms as requested by treating physicians or insurance, co-signed by physical therapist. Provide continuous communication with referring physicians, physical therapists and athletic trainers regarding patient therapy and equipment. Operate and apply knowledge of standard physical therapy equipment. Ability to comply with TPG standards of operations and adhere to the core values of the company. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Thorough knowledge in problem solving and presentation skills. Thorough knowledge of business acumen Action oriented and driven for results. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to maintain strictest confidentiality. Ability to communicate complex information in a well thought-out easily understood manner, both orally and in writing in a variety of settings and styles; Ability to delegate and communicate in an honest, direct and professional manner, relating well to others to build rapport and effective relationships. Ability to demonstrate active listening by asking clarifying questions, identify and share relevant information and solicit feedback from others and give and receives feedback objectively. Ability to practice time management, timely decision making, and conflict management. Commitment to company values. Education and Experience Education: Associate Degree as Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited institution. Appropriate state licensure, certification or registration (per state requirements), current and in good standing. Experience: Not required but considered. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Requires prolonged standing, some sitting, bending, stooping and stretching. Some lifting, pushing and assisting patients with exercise and patient transfers. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, mouse, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office or clinical equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and present reports. #LI-RH1
