About the job Speaks Law Firm PC, is an experienced Personal Injury Law firm with offices in Wilmington and Charlotte, North Carolina. Located close to Camp Lejeune, we are committed to obtaining advantageous outcomes for our clients. We are searching for a Litigation Paralegal or Personal Injury Paralegal to join us in our Wilmington office to mostly manage personal injury matters, including those involving Camp Lejeune. If you have prior experience in military-related paralegal matters, we would love to have you apply! Job Type: Full-timeCompensation: $45,000 - $60,000 yearly Desired Skills and Experience Qualifications Required Education and Experience: Minimum two (2) years of litigation experience OR Minimum two (2) years of personal injury experience Preferred Education and Experience: Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies and Paralegal certificate Mass Tort experience (preferred but not required) Federal Court experience Notary Public Responsibilities Maintain effective communication with attorneys, clients, insurance adjusters, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects Drafting of legal documents including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, and interrogatories; files motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures Research and analyze statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provide written analysis to attorneys Interview clients and witnesses and prepare summaries of their statements Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and other items Ability to demonstrate key performance indicators and drive tasks to completion with minimal supervisory oversight Monitor & manage client’s medical treatment Send requests for information including medical records & billing Maintain/organize client files Preparation and filing of general correspondence, e-mails, demand packages and other exhibits into Needles Case Management Software Understand subrogation liens & disputing unrelated charges Ability to complete balance sheets accurately reflecting Rule 414 payments/adjustments Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and other health insurance portals Why work at Speaks Law Firm?
