The Personal Injury Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling all phases of personal injury litigation, including case investigation, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation. The ideal candidate will possess superior legal research and writing abilities, strong oral advocacy skills, and a deep understanding of personal injury law. Duties:Investigate and vet potential new personal injury cases for technical and legal issuesMaintain a deep knowledge and understanding of the facts in each assigned caseConduct all phases of discovery, including drafting written discovery, conducting meetings, and preparing for and conducting depositionsIdentify and work with expert witnesses, as well as select and prepare expert witnessesCollaborate with intake and marketing departments during the investigative stages of cases/claimsConduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documentsPrepare for and participate in trial proceedingsUtilize Microsoft Office and Westlaw for legal research and document preparation Requirements:Juris Doctorate from an accredited law schoolActive member in good standing of the Florida Bar5+ years of personal injury litigation experienceSuperior legal research and writing abilitiesStrong oral advocacy skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) and Westlaw Education:Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school Certifications:Active member in good standing of the Florida Bar Skills:Legal research and writingOral advocacyCase investigation and discoveryDeposition and trial experienceExpert witness selection and preparationCollaboration and communication Benefits:Competitive salary commensurate with experienceComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insuranceGenerous Paid Time Off (PTO)401K planOpportunities for continuous learning and professional growth through training programs, continuing education, and mentorship This law firm was founded over three decades ago to help clients who have been victims of personal injury.
