Division:CHofSA Pediatric Departments (80001089) Department:CHofSA Pediatrics : Critical Care (90006583) Employment Duration: Full:time Working Title: Assistant Professor Summary The Division of Critical Care in the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine has an opening for a full:time faculty position at CHRISTUS Childrens in San Antonio. Responsibilities include the provision of care to critically ill and injured children in a pediatric intensive care unit and teaching fellows, residents, medical students, and staff. Serving as a focal point for pediatric services throughout the community, CHRISTUS Childrens in San Antonio is a world:class childrens hospital : both inside and out. In February 2013, CHRISTUS Childrens finalized an agreement with Baylor College of Medicine, ranked as the 6 medical school by U.S. News and World Report in 2020:21. Baylor College of Medicine recruits, employs, and oversees physicians at the childrens hospital. Baylor College of Medicine (bcm.edu) is recognized as one of the nations premier academic health science centers and is known for excellence in education, research, healthcare, and community service. BCM is currently associated with multiple educational, healthcare, and research affiliates. Minimum Qualifications stylemargin:bottom:11.0px:: Minimum Education: M.D./D.O. degree, or equivalent successful completion of an accredited subspecialty certification in pediatric critical care medicine.: Minimum Certification/Licenses: Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (or eligible for same); Board certification by the by the American Board of Pediatrics (or eligible for same).: Current certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Basic Life Support (BLS).
