Knowledge and skills required for the position are: Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and minimum of 4 years' experience in payroll processing. Advanced Excel skills required. Payroll best practices and knowledge of US payroll tax, as well as proficiency with payroll software and other features that integrate with it. Skilled in evaluating and analyzing technical payroll activities that integrate with tax processes. Skilled in preparing detailed reports and performing detailed computations for tax reporting purposes, and the ability to maintain integrity and confidentiality with sensitive information. Demonstrate customer service focus, client communication skills, exceptional organizational skills, and excellent attention to detail. Ability to use critical thinking skills when solving problems and explaining to others. Clear and professional communication skills (written and oral) both internally and externally. Energized self-starter capable of working and thinking independently, ensuring deadlines are met, and excellent capability to switch tasks while adapting to changing priorities.
