We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join our finance team and help us maintain accurate payroll records while supporting our commitment to employee satisfaction.As a Payroll Assistant, you will be responsible for processing payroll and maintaining accurate employee records. You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate compensation for all employees, handling payroll inquiries, and supporting the payroll department's daily functions. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the processing of payroll for all employees while ensuring compliance with relevant legal regulations and company policies. Maintain accurate employee records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status. Verify and input timesheets, pay rates, and other payroll information into the payroll system. Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, tax withholdings, deductions, and other related topics. Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Assist with payroll audits and resolve discrepancies in payroll records. Support the preparation of payroll reports for management and finance departments. Stay informed about changes in tax regulations and payroll laws to ensure compliance. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or certification in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred. Previous experience in payroll processing or accounting roles is a plus. Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with payroll software is a plus (e.g., ADP, Paychex, etc.). Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Strong communication skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
