Payroll/Accounting Specialist

Description:
In this role you will provide payroll and accounting services for our clients. Job Duties Process client payroll, sales tax, general ledger, bank reconciliations, 1099 preparation, financial statements and other accounting related tasks Obtain basic understanding of current tax software applications in completion of engagements Utilize Quickbooks software to assist clients with entering of daily transactions and have ability to solve issues that arise Ensure all client deliverables are completed in an accurate and timely manner Develop technical competencies and participates in training and continuing education opportunities Requirements - The ideal candidate will have the following: 3+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger and financial reporting Knowledgeable of regulatory requirements of processing payroll, accounting transactions, 1099's and payroll returns Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and Quickbooks Demonstrate a willingness to learn and obtain greater knowledge. Effectively communicate with clients Meet deadlines and handle pressure in a positive, professional manner Associate or BA/BS degree in accounting or related field preferred
