The attorney will be responsible for providing legal counsel and patent prosecution services to clients in the biotechnology, chemistry, and pharmaceutical technology sectors. Duties:Conduct patent prosecution for clients in biotechnology, chemistry, and pharmaceutical technologiesProvide legal advice on patent matters, including patentability assessments, infringement analysis, and patent portfolio managementDraft patent applications, responses to office actions, and other legal documentsConduct patent searches and prior art analysisCommunicate with clients, patent examiners, and other stakeholdersManage patent portfolios and provide strategic guidance to clients Requirements:Strong technical background and education in biotechnology, chemistry, or pharmaceutical technologiesExcellent interpersonal, analytical, and writing skillsStrong academic and professional credentialsRegistration to practice with the U.S. Patent and Trademark OfficeJ.D. from an ABA-Accredited Law SchoolActive attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdictionAbility to promptly become licensed in IA, MN, ND, or WI Education Certifications:J.D. from an ABA-Accredited Law SchoolRegistration to practice with the U.S. Patent and Trademark OfficeActive attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction Skills:Strong technical knowledge in biotechnology, chemistry, or pharmaceutical technologiesProficiency in patent prosecutionExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to analyze complex technical and legal issuesStrong client management skills Experience:Preferably 3+ years of patent prosecution experience Law offices are located in Minnesota, North Dakota, Iowa, Mexico and China. The legal practice has sixty-four years of professional law experience. There are eleven areas of practice.
