The City of Homer is looking for a Part-Time Port Property Associate to join our team! The Port Property Associate is a 20, 24, or 28 hours/week position They are responsible for management of leases for real properties and facilities available for business purposes, coordinating communication between several different external agencies, city internal departments, and tenants/prospective tenants. Collaborates with City Manager's Office, Port Director, Harbormaster, and Planning department to develop parking and campgrounds management plans for the Homer Spit. The right person for our team will meet the following requirements: Three years clerical work experience in a public setting required . Working knowledge of land appraisals, public leases and contracts. Requires written and verbal skills in composing letters, contact with the public. Ability to interpret statistics and develop and prepare clear and accurate reports. Use spreadsheets, word processing, and database computer software programs at an advanced level to track expirations, lease terms, construction start deadlines, up-to-date payments, and other conditions.
