We are looking for a Part-Time Certified Medical Assistant to support the day-to-day functions of our practice, be a professional representative to our patients, and be an integral support for the entire team. Our employee compensation shows how much we value our team! $22-$26/hour based on experience Schedule Non-Exempt, Part- time Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Core Duties and Responsibilities Receive and direct phone calls, schedule appointments, patient check-in, obtain necessary patient information and ensure all forms and consents are completed by patients Update patient records Update patient demographics/information in the chart Facilitate patient checkout and order MRls or labs as needed Send weekly referrals Core Duties & Responsibilities Manage reception desk and greet patients and other Front Office duties Schedule patient appointments Manage phone, patient check-ins, and completion of patient forms Prepare patients for examination, take vitals, and record patient’s health history as needed Complete patient chart preparation Update patient demographics Prepare injections and set up medications as needed Prepare equipment and examination rooms, and clean instruments Assist with neurodiagnostic tests (OcM, EEG, VOMS, Sleep Studies, and VNG) as needed Prepare patients for testing procedures and provide necessary instructions Ensure accurate documentation of test results and patient information Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant Training - 2 YEARS MINIMUM EXPERIENCE Active Certified Medical Assistant Certification (required) High school diploma or GED (required) Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a consistent, courteous, and friendly manner Willingness to learn medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies Excellent interpersonal skills Detail-oriented and highly organized Maintain the highest level of confidentiality Open to occasional travel Preferred Skills and Qualifications Knowledge of office management systems and procedures Highly Attentive to detail Adept at taking initiative and problem-solving Excellent written and verbal communication skills Compassionate people skills Gifted at multi-tasking Ability to work independently and follow directions Ability to be proactive and prioritize workload, manage challenging situations, and meet deadlines Open to occasional travel to satellite offices (San Diego, Stockton, Fresno, Reno, and Palmdale) to offer clinician support (time and travel will be compensated) We look forward to receiving your resume and getting to know you!
