Description:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Packaging Print Technology Program Manager to join their dynamic packaging team. This role is critical in managing the design and development of an internal tool, similar to Illustrator, that handles variable data, ensuring that the software meets the needs of cross-functional teams and adheres to compliance and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage R&D projects related to packaging print technology and software development, focusing on variable data management tools. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, particularly those in China, to develop, review, document, and launch packaging software solutions. Work closely with software development teams to design and implement tools that enhance the efficiency of packaging processes. Facilitate communication between technical and creative teams to ensure software meets all project requirements. Manage project timelines, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and within scope. Conduct early morning and late evening calls with counterparts in Europe, China, and Japan to coordinate international project efforts. Deliver clear and compelling presentations to leadership and cross-functional teams, ensuring project visibility and alignment with company goals. Key Qualifications: BA/BS degree in Printing, Graphic Communications, Software Engineering, or a related field. 3-5 years of relevant experience in software program management, particularly with tools like Adobe Illustrator or similar variable data management tools. Strong background in software project management with a focus on print production technologies. Familiarity with prepress and printing technologies (e.g., UV inkjet), though technical skills in inkjet, offset printing, and coding are preferred but not required. Proficiency in Mac applications and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat). Experience working with Chinese manufacturing and localization processes is a plus. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Skills and Competencies: Technical expertise in software development for print production. Excellent project management skills with a meticulous attention to detail. Strong communication skills, capable of interfacing effectively with both technical and creative teams. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a proactive and adaptable approach. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
