Outreach Specialist **Remote** **5 year contract** CSEngineering is looking to add a Outreach Specialist to our growing team! This position will support in developing and implementing community engagement strategies related to Community Relations Plans (CRPs) and environmental restoration processes. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The Outreach Specialist shall be responsible for completing and performing the following requirements: Develop and distribute public notices, announcements, and other communication tools to inform the public about CRP development Utilize federal and/or state online data tools such as CEJST and EPA's EJScreen to develop comprehensive community profiles, including socioeconomic indicators, demographics, and environmental exposure burdens Conduct community interviews with local, state, and federal officials, community residents, and other interested parties to gather information on concerns, needs, and preferred involvement methods Identify and implement best communication strategies based on community profiles and interview responses Support and present at Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) meetings to communicate CRP purpose and community involvement approaches Collaborate with the project team to integrate community engagement activities into the overall project management plan and schedule. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Security Clearance: Public Trust Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Education, Communication or related field. 5+ years of experience in community outreach, public relations, or environmental communication. Proven track record in developing and implementing community engagement strategies. Experience in conducting community interviews and surveys. Familiarity with environmental restoration programs, preferably with Department of Defense or Air Force projects. Experience in organizing and facilitating public meetings and workshops. Knowledge of environmental justice concepts and tools (e.g., CEJST, EJScreen). Experience in developing communication materials for diverse audiences. Experience with USAF and Environmental Justice is a plus.
