The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics department of Rehabilitation Therapist is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to administer treatment to patients with complex physical and cognitive dysfunctions, disorders and/or injuries and evaluate and interpret findings. This position will be assigned to the outpatient setting. * Provide quality patient care, evaluation, assessment, and treatment appropriate for patients with complex or specialized needs. Assignment will primarily involve working with patients with complex neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. * Participate in the development of innovative clinical teaching activities to meet the learning needs of staff and students. * Perform routine and assigned administrative tasks in an efficient manner and demonstrate innovative problem-solving approaches. * Provides divisional and departmental leadership by: * Collaborating on special projects and assisting management as necessary * Participating in clinical research and maintaining a high level of clinical productivity * Providing educational experiences to staff and students * Serving as a clinical resource * Demonstrating the ability to set and accomplish divisional/departmental goals. * Identify opportunities, monitor, and participate in quality/process improvement activities and recommend corrective actions for effectiveness. * Performs special projects and tasks as assigned. * Maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students, and the public. * Collaboration and Embracing Diversity: * Ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and civil manner while appreciating the unique contribution of individuals from varied cultures, race, creed, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, sexual orientation, and gender identity. * Positive Impact/Achieving Results: * Ability to utilize existing resources and learning to achieve or exceed desired outcomes of current and future organizational goals/needs.
