Made Possible.Primary Responsibilities are, but not limited to the following: * Read and interpret job orders. * Make ready, operation and maintenance of multi-unit 29" Heidelberg sheet fed printing press. * Operates production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications. * Produces the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances. * Obtains job jackets and reviews prior to running orders. * Check print quality throughout runs. * Print quality products on a schedule that meets or exceeds the clients' expectations. * Troubleshoot press problems as they occur. * Participate in client "press okays". * Measures finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications. * Maintains logs and records of units produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces. * Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance. * Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area. * Ensures that appropriate contact relief is made, and machine hand-off occurs during shift changes. * Performs preventative maintenances. * Works as a leader of the crew, overseeing operator assistants and trainees and ensures their abilities and assists as needed. * Performs other duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities: * Ability to follow directions and work well in a team environment * Ability to interpret and translate designs and documentation * Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Thorough attention to detail * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations. * Visual color discrimination, the ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of colors. * Ability to work under minimal supervision * Good attendance * Strong leadership abilitiesGraphic Packaging is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
