Engineering Support is looking for a skilled professional with expertise in RedHat OpenShift to join our global NetApp Engineering Critical Production Datacenter team. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of RedHat OpenShift and virtualization technologies, along with experience in designing and implementing complex IT solutions. Responsibilities: Directly responsible for performing VM migrations to OpenShift through either self-generated scripts or manual techniques. Collaborate with key stakeholders to facilitate the migration of essential engineering resources to RedHat OpenShift across various regions. Work with stakeholders to gather their requirements and convert them into effective technical solutions. Manage communication and schedule downtime with stakeholders to minimize impact as much as possible. Create and update documentation for the RedHat OpenShift migration process. Oversee the performance of deployed solutions, address any functional issues, and provide recommendations for enhancements. Offer further guidance at other engineering locations, including Bangalore, India; Wichita, Kansas; and Santa Clara, California, to ensure successful migrations. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience in virtualization. Demonstrated expertise in RedHat OpenShift virtualization. Thorough knowledge of virtualization technologies such as High Availability (HA) and affinity rules. Proven experience in designing and implementing complex IT solutions. Extensive knowledge of Linux/Windows operating systems and networking. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to perform well under pressure. Outstanding communication and presentation abilities. Location: Prefer local candidates to Research Triangle Park. Hybrid work environment with onsite office work Wednesday and Thursday. Full remote candidate would be an option if they meet all requirements.
