A FQHC in Manhattan is currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join their growing OB/GYN team in New York.About the Opportunity: * Start Date: ASAP * Assignment Length: Ongoing (Contract to Hire) * Schedule: Monday to Friday (1 Saturday per month) * Hours: 8am to 6pm (Mon & Wed); 8am to 5pm (Tues, Thurs, Fri); 8am to 4pm (Sat) * EMR: eClinicalWorks (ECW) * Patient Population: Adults (Ages 18+) - Medically Underserved Population * Patient Volume: 20 per dayResponsibilities:The OB/GYN Nurse (RN) will: * Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans * Monitor, record and report symptoms and changes in patients' condition * Record patients' medical information and vital signs * Monitor inventory of medications and immunization * Order medications and immunizations as needed * Prepare patients for, and assist with, examinations and treatments * Assess the needs of individuals, families and / or communities * Educate individuals, families and other groups on topics * Ensure that stock of clinical supplies is maintained * Enter patient's data into the medical records. * Administer drugs, immunizations, medical devices or other forms of treatment * Perform other duties, as neededQualifications: * Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing * Current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license * ACLS and CPR certification * Outpatient OB/GYN experience * Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills * Great interpersonal skills * Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) * Strong attention to detail * Highly organizedDesired Skills: * 2+ years of Nursing experience * Bachelor's Degree in Nursing * Experience in Ambulatory Care, Medical-Surgical, Primary Care, and/or Women's Health setting * Experience working with indigent or medically underserved populations.
