This position is located in the Nursing Inpatient Department in Crow, Crow Agency, MT. This position provides direct patient care and nursing leadership to patients of all ages with a variety of medical, surgical, pediatric, and health maintenance needs. Duties Charge nurse duties: plans organizes, and oversees staff to provide patient care; evaluates care and ensures customer satisfaction. Provides advice and assistance to professional and paraprofessional staff members. Assists with Orientation plan for new staff members for department. Assists with ongoing evaluation process of staff to ensure up-to-date knowledge, skills and abilities to competently and safely initiate, administer and/or assist with prescribed treatments and procedures. Participates in quality control and performance improvement program. Participates in collecting and analyzing data for required reports. Consult with primary care provider and other healthcare professionals on patients to coordinate diagnostic and therapeutic regimens for patients. Provide orientation to new employees. Participate and contribute to clinical performance improvement activities. Document observations, nursing interventions, therapeutic measures administered and patient response to treatment or nursing care.
