Nuclear Medicine Tech Job Description We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Tech to perform a variety of duties in preparing patients for scans and measuring concentration of radioactive isotopes. About the Job This role involves checking patient charts, preparing patients for exams, scanning patients, reading radiation levels, and recording patient information. Responsibilities Check patient charts for needed exams and tests Prepare patients for exams, administer pre-medication and radioactive isotopes Scan patients, making proper settings on the gamma camera Read or survey the amount of radiation given off by radioactive material Record information on patient history and examination Assist in administering I-131 therapy and maintain I-131 therapy schedule Order radioactive isotopes in a timely manner File patient records and maintain proper charge code and exam Requirements Basic Cardiac Life Support State Registered Radiologic Technician Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology Registered Radiographer (ARRT), or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) One year of experience preferred About Medical City Fort Worth Medical City Fort Worth is a 350+ bed full-service hospital located in the heart of the medical district.
