Job Description The Division of Information Technology seeks highly motivated, dedicated and energetic full-time, Stevens undergraduate students to work up to 33 hours per week during the Summer 2024 semester as a Student Network Technician. Continuing to work into the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters for up to 15 hours per week. Requirements * Must be Stevens undergraduate students. * Must be in good academic standing. * Work Study eligibility is NOT a requirement. * All majors are welcome to apply. Qualifications * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, and of fundamental importance. * Capable of working in a fast paced, dynamic and highly collaborative environment. * Excellent customer service orientation required, and successful prior customer service experience would be beneficial. * Demonstrated ability to quickly and thoroughly learn technologies, support processes, and user service techniques. * Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems. * Competency in Microsoft technologies, including Windows and Office suite. * Competency in mainstream technologies including computer configurations, web browsers, the Internet, email, etc. Responsibilities * Maintenance of the network infrastructure. * Installation and testing of new equipment. * Conducting analysis of the wireless infrastructure. * Provide support for various projects within Information Technology and the Stevens community as requested / directed. * Gain an in-depth understanding of all aspects of the department's operations and procedures. * Update departmental documentation and ticketing system resources. * Ensure a professional and courteous customer experience. * Other duties as assigned.
