Description We are always on the lookout for fresh, new visionaries to add to our roster of talented multimedia journalist intern. This is a 6 month, non-paid internship position that is hybrid-based and requires you to attend company and industry events.As a Multimedia Journalist intern at Justnlife.com, you will play a pivotal role in curating, managing, and distributing engaging multimedia content for our digital magazine. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in video editing, social media management, videography, and photography. They will be responsible for producing high-quality visual content that enhances our brand and captivates our audience across multiple platforms. This position is hybrid-based and requires the production of social media posts and occasional support for our social media managers. While the work is done at your own pace, adherence to deadlines is essential. The successful candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills to complement our dynamic team. Responsibilities Event Videography & Photography : Attend company and industry events to capture high-quality images/video that align with our brand identity. Skillfully document key moments, interviews, and behind-the-scenes shots to complement editorial stories. Multimedia Content Creation : Produce and edit compelling videos, photos, and graphics for our digital magazine, social media channels, and website.Social Media Management : Develop and implement social media strategies to increase engagement, grow our audience, and promote multimedia content effectively.Video Editing : Assist the editorial team with video edits for various projects, ensuring content meets brand standards and enhances storytelling.Newsletter Curation : Curate engaging multimedia content for our newsletter, aligning with editorial themes and audience interests. Collaboration with Team : Work closely with writers, editors, and other team members to understand the visual requirements of each story. Collaborate in brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas for visual storytelling. Editing and Enhancement : Edit and enhance photographs using industry-standard software to meet the publication's style and standards. Ensure a consistent and visually appealing aesthetic across all images. Deadline Management : Thrive in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines while maintaining the quality and creativity of visual content. Industry Awareness : Stay abreast of industry trends, cultural shifts, and emerging visual storytelling techniques. Incorporate creative and innovative approaches to enhance the overall visual appeal of our content. Flexibility : Demonstrate flexibility in attending events, conducting on-site off-camera interviews, and traveling as required to capture relevant visual content. Requirements Journalism, Communications, Multimedia, Marketing student, recent Graduate or adult continued learning or a related field. Demonstrated proficiency in photography, videography, video editing, and social media management In-depth knowledge of photography equipment and accessories. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Creativity and ability to think outside the box to develop engaging images. Proficiency with multimedia editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro). Basic graphic design skills and knowledge of content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Spark) is a plus. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Has own computer and internet Must meet deadlines Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn. Must have reliable transportation to attend off-site events Excellent communication and organizational skills. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
