Mortgage Loan Officer Partner

Description:
We’re hiring a loan partner who will work directly alongside our loan origination staff to help our applicants through the mortgage loan process. You’ll get applicants mortgage-ready, prepare paperwork, and respond to customer inquiries on transactions as needed. If you’re a detail-oriented employee with strong communication and time management skills, we highly encourage you to apply. Responsibilities: • Review all loan package documentation for discrepancies, omissions, and income calculation then report any discrepancies to the loan originator• Follow up and respond to customer and in-house inquiries on transactions as needed in order to provide superior customer service• Screen and make calls, book appointments and provide administrative support as needed• Assemble loan documentation as required necessary for verifications and underwriting such as loan files, loan packages, credit reports, and additional mortgage application paperwork• Serve as the primary contact and liaison between clients, branch manager, and assigned mortgage loan originator and conduct meetings to coordinate any follow-up items• Develop and maintain referral partner relationships• Take and process applications from borrowers• Guide borrowers through the mortgage process for home purchases and refinances• Research competitive mortgage rates and interest rates, and negotiate terms to find ideal mortgage product and lender for potential borrowers• Ensure a smooth mortgage process by working with the borrower’s real estate agent, mortgage professionals such as closing agents, and financial institution department underwriters Qualifications: • At least 5+ years of professional office environment required, preferably as a loan officer assistant or mortgage assistant• Excellent customer service and communication skills and willing to go above and beyond for customers and team• Possess an advanced understanding of different loan products, such as conventional loans, FHA, VA, adjustable/ fixed, commercial loans, etc.• Although not required, having an NMLS license or training is preferred• Preferred degree in banking or finance, and a high school diploma or equivalent is required• NMLS license is required before start date Compensation: $84,000 - $105,000 yearly About Company: Our Mission at Homestead & Co is to provide superior client service.
