Are you a skilled Diesel Mechanic looking for a dynamic role outside the typical shop environment? Join our team as a Mobile Diesel Mechanic and enjoy the freedom of servicing vehicles on the move! GATR Truck Center is seeking a skilled and experienced Mobile Diesel Mechanic to join our Waukee, IA team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and fix a wide range of issues on various makes and models of diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles. This is a mobile position, requiring travel to different client locations to provide on-site services. As this is a safety-sensitive position, adherence to all safety protocols and procedures is mandatory to ensure a safe working environment. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles. Perform routine maintenance and inspections. Respond to service calls and provide on-site mechanical assistance. Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve issues. Maintain accurate records of all work performed. Communicate effectively with clients to explain repairs and maintenance needs. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or relevant certification preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. CDL certification preferred Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
