The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in economic development law and a solid commitment to delivering exceptional legal services.Duties:Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in economic development projects.Conduct legal research and analysis on complex regulatory and transactional issues.Draft and negotiate agreements, contracts, and other legal documents.Attend meetings with clients, stakeholders, and governmental bodies.Manage and oversee junior associates and legal staff on assigned projects.Handle litigation matters and disputes as necessary.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Washington, DC Bar; additional admission to nearby state bars (e.g., Virginia, Maryland) is a plus.4-7 years of experience practicing law focusing on economic development, preferably within a reputable law firm or government agency.Proven track record of managing client relationships and independently handling diverse caseloads.Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and legislative processes related to economic development.Certifications (if applicable):Certification in economic development law or related field (desired).Skills:Excellent legal writing and verbal communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Attention to detail and accuracy in legal work.Proficiency in legal research tools and software (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
