Practice Area: Insurance Coverage, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 4 Years, A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Insurance Coverage Litigation Associate Attorney in Saint Louis, MO, with the following qualifications:Job Overview:The Mid-Level Insurance Coverage Litigation Associate Attorney will handle various aspects of insurance coverage litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents, conducting discovery, analyzing insurance coverage disputes, and providing coverage opinions.Duties:Drafting complex case evaluations, pleadings, motions, and other litigation documentsManaging all phases of litigation from inception through trial and appeal as necessaryConducting, propounding, and responding to discovery, including documents, written discovery, and depositionsCollaborating with clients, witnesses, experts, and other counselAnalyzing insurance coverage and extra-contractual disputes and drafting coverage opinions or other coverage analysesRequirements:4-6 years of litigation experience, with a focus on insurance coverage litigationStrong writing and analytical skills with exceptional academic credentialsAbility to effectively communicate research findings into meaningful written work productDedication, goal-orientation, and a strong work ethicSuperior organizational and time-management abilitiesExcellent interpersonal, networking, and business development skillsExperience handling clients and adversaries directly, with excellent oral advocacy skillsFederal District Court or Appellate clerkship experience preferredExperience with PFAS (poly-fluoroalkyl substances) litigation is a plusMust be licensed to practice law in the State of Missouri and be in good standingEducation Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolSkills:Proficiency in drafting legal documents and conducting legal researchAbility to effectively communicate with colleagues, clients, adversaries, and courtsStrong case management skills and experience handling complex litigation mattersThe firm offers benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401k, short-term/long-term disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, paid holidays, and discretionary bonuses.
