This position offers an opportunity to work on consumer financial laws and regulations, engaging with both federal and state regulatory regimes.Location:Washington, D.C.Duties:Provide regulatory analysis and advice on consumer financial lawsEngage with federal regulations regarding non-mortgage credit (e.g., EFTA, FCRA, FDCPA, GLBA, MLA, SCRA, TILA, UDAAP)Assist with compliance program development and daily compliance assistanceDraft legal documents for diverse audiences, including in-house counsel and regulatorsConduct compliance reviews and due diligence for financing sources and investorsSupport transactional matters related to financing agreements and securitizationsRequirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degreeShould have 3-5 years of experience.Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdictionEducation:Juris Doctor (JD)Certifications:Admission to the Bar in relevant jurisdictionSkills:Strong writing skills with experience in drafting for various contextsAbility to operate independently while providing sound regulatory analysisFamiliarity with consumer financial products, including unsecured loans and credit cardsExperience in compliance reviews and transactional assistanceBenefits:Equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion
