Medical Receptionist - Pediatric

We are seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist for our busy pediatric practice in Canton. This position requires a minimum of one year experience in medical office administrative duties and in-depth knowledge of all front office procedures, including verifying insurance, preferably in a medical setting. Excellent verbal communication is a must. Salary $31.2 - $37.4/yr commensurate with experience No weekend hours Benefits include health insurance, PTO, 401k Profit Sharing Qualifications include: 1 year medical administrative and insurance verification experience, preferably in a pediatric clinical setting Insurance (commercial and Medicaid) knowledge required 1-year medical terminology, preferred 1-year solid customer service experience or customer facing roles, preferred Welcoming personality Excellent computer skills and familiarity with other office equipment Basic typing and keyboard skills Must be able to act calmly and effectively in a busy or stressful situation Ability to take initiative and work well in a fast-paced team environment Duties may include: Greet patients and families upon arrival Check-in/ check-out, collect co-pays, verify demographics and insurance Answer phones and schedule appointments Medical records requests Make sure waiting room is presentable Perform additional duties, as required Kids Health First is an Association of 37 Independent Pediatric Practices located in Atlanta and surrounding areas. Initial candidate screenings are conducted by our recruiter. All interviews and final decisions are made by the pediatric practices, based on their current individual needs and hiring processes.
