The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant experience handling complex litigation cases in the medical malpractice and nursing home negligence practice areas.Duties:Represent clients in civil litigation cases involving medical malpractice and nursing home negligence.Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other legal documents.Prepare for and attend court hearings, trials, arbitrations, and mediations.Manage and advise clients on legal strategy, settlement negotiations, and case resolutions.Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure effective case management and client communication.Stay updated with legal developments and changes in the medical malpractice and nursing home negligence laws.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the State Bar of South Carolina or eligibility for admission by waiver or reciprocity.Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on medical malpractice and nursing home negligence litigation.Proven track record of successful case outcomes, including trials and settlements.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the State Bar of South Carolina or eligibility for admission.Skills:Proficiency in legal research tools and software.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple cases effectively.Benefits:The firm offers a comprehensive benefits package, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, LTD (Long-Term Disability), 401k, voluntary products, and generous paid time off.
