Nursing Care Specialist Opportunity Ascension Wisconsin is seeking a skilled Nursing Care Specialist to provide direct nursing care in a fast-paced Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MSICU).Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring effective communication with the multidisciplinary team. Monitor and record patient condition, collaborating with the team to ensure seamless care. Coordinate patient care, prioritizing needs and safety. Implement physician and nursing orders, ensuring timely and effective communication. Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.Requirements Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification within 6 months of hire date. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 1 month of hire date. Registered Nurse (RN) licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing or current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.Preferred Qualifications Experience in a Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MSICU) environment. Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and determine health conditions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with the multidisciplinary team.
