The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for performing all needed inspections and repairs on Heavy Construction Equipment (Yellow Iron andPaving Equipment) in a safe, effective manner at job site locations. :2 plus years' experience in the Heavy Equipment Maintenance industry or an educational degree in Diesel related technical courses:Troubleshooting and/or diagnostic skills for: Engine, Transmission/Drivetrain, Hydraulic, Electrical, A/C, On Board Computer and Electronic Control Module:Provide own hand tools (1 " wrenches and sockets) and storage necessary to perform preventative maintenance on heavy equipment:Ability to work on Diesel Equipment; Caterpillar, John Deere, Road Tech, Gomaco, and other major equipment manufacturer machinery:Effective written and verbal communication skills:Self:motivated and capable of following directions and effectively work in a team environment:Ability to recognize and react to safety related issues:Welding / Fabricating experience a plus:Computer skills a plus:Good attitude is a MUST:Flexibility and willingness to work weekends as needed:Field experience is a plusWhat CRH/Texas Materials Offers You : A diverse and inclusive culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotion:Competitive base pay:Medical, dental and disability benefits programs:Group retirement savings program:Health and wellness programs About CRH CRH has a long and proud heritage.
