Practice Area: Patent Agents - Mechanical,Patent Agents - Electrical Engineering, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 3 Years, A law firm based in Dallas is seeking an ME Engineer Patent Agent/Technology Specialist with 3-5 years of patent prosecution experience in the engineering field. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in engineering with either a MS or Ph.D. degree, experience in patent law, and preferably a background in a law firm setting. Duties:Conduct patent prosecution activities related to mechanical engineering technologiesCollaborate with inventors and attorneys to prepare and prosecute patent applicationsConduct patentability and infringement analysesAssist in drafting and negotiating technology transfer agreements, licensing agreements, and other contracts related to technology transactionsProvide technical expertise and support for patent litigation mattersAssist in client counseling on intellectual property matters Requirements:MS or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldExperience in patent prosecution, preferably in the engineering spaceStrong background in patent law and technology transactionsExceptional analytical and writing abilitiesExcellent client service skillsOutstanding interpersonal and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in a collaborative environment Education:MS or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or related field Certifications:Patent Bar admission is preferred Skills:Proficiency in patent prosecution processesKnowledge of technology transfer, agreements, licensing, and contractsStrong analytical and writing skillsClient service-oriented approachExcellent interpersonal and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work effectively in a team environment
