The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical and writing abilities, excellent client service skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Duties:Assist in drafting and prosecuting patent applicationsConduct patentability and freedom-to-operate searches and analysesPrepare and respond to office actions from the USPTOConduct intellectual property due diligenceProvide technical support for patent litigation mattersCollaborate with attorneys and clients to develop IP strategies Requirements:MS or Ph.D. in engineering3-5 years of patent prosecution experience in the engineering spaceStrong background in patent law preferredTechnology transaction experience including tech transfer, agreements, licensing, and contracts is a plusExceptional analytical and writing abilitiesExcellent client service skillsOutstanding interpersonal and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively in a collaborative environment Education:MS or Ph.D. in engineering Certifications:Patent Agent registration with the USPTO preferred Skills:Strong background in engineeringExperience in patent prosecutionKnowledge of patent law and proceduresExcellent analytical and writing abilitiesClient service-oriented mindsetExceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment This law firm was started in the early 1850s and has offices in New York, Boston, Denver, Overland Park, Boulder, Springfield, Chicago, Kansas, Los Angeles, St. Louis and Jefferson City.
