Material Handler-Forklift Cosmo Cabinets is expanding production and is in need of experienced, reliable material handlers who have a good work history. Our material handlers must be able to move heavy materials from the production line and receiving area to production lines, both with equipment and manually. Responsibilities: Move finished goods from the assembly line to dedicated storage area or staging for shipment Pull raw materials or stored products and delivers to staging area via pallet jacks or forklift. Load and unload shipments in an organized and safe manner Assist with scanning, paperwork when necessary. Ensures forklift procedures are followed. Helps maintain a manufacturing area free from debris and dirt. Required Skills/Abilities: Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions. Flexible, able and willing to work in a variety of roles. Pay attention to details Working knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures Ability to operate various types of equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, forklifts Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods standing and walking. Must be able to lift 30 -60 pounds at times. Team lifting when necessary. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with manufacturing environments. Education and Experience: Previous production and warehouse experience preferred. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
