Looking to start or advance your marketing career in a fun and flexible work environment? Red's Threads in Davenport, IA is looking for a Marketing and Sales Associate to join their growing team. This position will be scheduled approximately 30 hours per week. The Marketing and Sales Associate will exhibit excellent customer service and communication skills, will need to be highly trustworthy, and should have a passion for sales, marketing and clothing! Job Responsibilities of the Marketing and Sales Associate: Manage online presence and ensure content is current Manage website content and design Create new opportunities for branding Assist in the marketing of sales and upcoming events Assist in the creation of content for social media posts Create and distribute email marketing blasts and SMS messages Participate in the recruiting and hiring of new staff and the training and development of existing staff Act as the point of contact for new and existing staff on general store questions and assist in troubleshooting scheduling and customer service needs Assist with the inputting of inventory for online and in store sales, this includes uploading item descriptions and photos Perform all Sales Associate job duties: Greet customers in a friendly and enthusiastic manner as they enter the store Provide information to customers about products and events Assemble displays and display merchandise neatly to maximize visibility and sales Perform the inventorying of merchandise Utilize computers, bar readers and other electronic devices Perform general cleaning duties, assuring the store looks its best Provide feedback to management on product sales, inventory losses, scanning errors and general issues Perform all other tasks as assigned by the Store Owner Job Qualifications: Degree in Marketing, Sales or related field is preferred Previous retail experience preferred Previous marketing experience preferred A positive and outgoing personality Ability to recognize and execute sales opportunities Excellent customer service skills Physical Requirements/ Environment: Ability to lift 30 pounds Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to climb on ladders and stools Light exposure to perfumes and cleaning products Company Benefits: Medical, dental, vision and life insurance options Company paid short-term disability Paid maternity leave Retirement plan options Red's Threads is an equal opportunity employer.
