As a Manufacturing Technician, you will get the opportunity to support our Manufacturing team in assembling space hardware, researching and creating innovative solutions that advance our manufacturing capabilities. There will be many opportunities to learn new skills for operating advance manufacturing and metrology equipment. You will also have the chance to provide feedback to our Design Engineering team regarding Design for Manufacturing/Assembly. If you have two or more years of experience assembling medical, automotive, electronics, or space hardware, we’d like you to join our team. This role will allow you to directly contribute to space flight programs that support cutting-edge space missions for NASA as well as other government agencies and the commercial space sector. Our talented staff have collective expertise spanning in-space propulsion, space-borne sensors, materials science, manufacturing, and high-fidelity electronic design for challenging space missions. Busek is well known in the spacecraft on-orbit propulsion community with numerous awards and achievements. Busek’s accomplishments include innovative electric propulsion systems for spacecraft such as first US Hall Effect Thruster in space. Our present efforts span research/development to manufacturing of aerospace systems to low-volume production of high-reliable in-space components and subsystems. The company has several R&D labs (over 30K sq.ft.) including over 20 vacuum chambers from 9 feet in diameter to small desktop systems.
