Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a Program Affordability Manager 2 for the Advanced Radar Systems (ARS) Operating Unit (OU) onsite in Baltimore, MD. This position will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and driving program affordability and cost competitiveness across multiple programs, and internal funding sources. This is a high visibility role offering the selected candidate the ability to gain great program management skills. It will also present to executive level management across the division and drive a number of program management and production initiatives. What You'll Get to Do: This Program Manager will coordinate with all levels of the organization to identify and develop strategies, objectives, and plans to achieve program affordability goals. The Program Affordability Lead is responsible for establishing the affordability culture, and driving for results that provide tangible benefits to ongoing and future production activities. This manager will work across programs to develop strategies and priorities for funding affordability projects and will oversee the execution of funded projects on Internal Research and Development funding (IRAD), Capital investment funding, and Program specific funding. As part of this execution, the manager will be responsible for managing the NCTA and Capital allocations for the ARS Organizational Unit. This manager will also be responsible across all stakeholders to eliminate barriers and achieve affordability goals. This position requires an organized hands-on leader who will actively manage projects to drive them to completion. Frequent communication with individual project leads, as well as communication with executive level management to provide status and insight into projects and the impact they will have on the business will be required. Basic Qualifications :* Bachelor's Degree with 9 years of related experience or a Master's degree and 7 years of related experience.* Strong technical, systems engineering, and/or production acumen.* Strong analytical skills to dissect and understand affordability cost proposals and assess project impacts.* Demonstrated experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.* Strong presentation skills.* Excellent verbal and written communications skills across multiple levels.* US Citizenship.* Ability to obtain a Secret SAP clearance after starting. Preferred Qualifications :* Manufacturing / Production program experience.* Experience working with data visualization software (e.g., MS Excel including macros, Tableau Desktop, QlikView, MS Power BI, etc.) or any other data analysis software applications.* Experience using Microsoft Office suite of tools.* Demonstrated experience in the identification, qualification, and execution of cost reduction or other strategic initiatives.* Demonstrated experience and comfort in presenting to executive management.* Knowledge or experience with IRAD and/or Capital planning and execution.* Ability to create compelling executive-level presentations to support decision making. Salary Range: $145,000 - $217,400The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
