Job Summary: The Manager of Digital Systems will lead the Information Technology team, provide strategic vision, and administer a wide range of technologies necessary to support museum operations. This management position is responsible for evaluating and implementing internal and public-facing digital initiatives and collaborates with staff to increase efficacy and enable a deeper fulfillment of the Frist Art Museum mission. The following duties are normal for this classification. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties m ay be required and assigned. Essential Job Functions: In collaboration with management teams, coordinates the design and implementation of information technology goals, objectives, priorities, policies, and procedures; evolves infrastructure to align with changing business needs and new technologies while maintaining best practices for cyber security. Oversees vendors and the internal technology team responsible for maintaining all hardware, software, license adherence, internet connectivity, internal network, company data, mobile devices, IP phone system, printers, PCI compliance, and all audio, visual, and interactive electronics. Participates in the assessment of technology needs for special projects to determine budgets and timelines for implementation. Supervises and provides for end-user support; assesses training needs and collaborates with Tier II Helpdesk Associate to provide necessary training. Partners with the Exhibitions team to incorporate best practices pertaining to digital asset management, and the preservation of those assets. Partners with the Security and Facilities teams to integrate their systems with the Frist network and infrastructure. Assists staff with employing technologies to improve the experiences of visitors. Enhances data collection practices to measure key performance indicators aligned with the mission. Works with staff, volunteers, and interns in a positive and constructive manner. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in computer science, technology, engineering, information systems, or a related field. Equivalent work experience, technical training, and industry certifications may substitute. * The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of verifiable experience working in an IT department with 50-100 end-users. * Must be familiar with Microsoft products (365, Entrap), Windows Server 2016/2019, Windows Active Directory Server Environment, DHCP, DNS, Veeam backup, VMware, Cisco, Palo Alto Firewalls. * Must be able to document and communicate to a wide range of users.* Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule and to work weekends and after hours when necessary. Beneficial Experience: Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, RingCentral VoIP, Sentinel One, Mosyle, Pitney Bowes, FileMaker Pro, CounterPoint, Blackbaud Altru, Tessitura, Wasabi cloud backups, Canon printer devices, group policy, knowledge of audio/visual equipment, Apple OS, and other technologies would all be helpful. Experience in a museum or other non-profit cultural institutions a plus. Skills and Abilities: Strong technical skills and the ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies. Experienced with project management, budgetary monitoring, and staff supervision. Excellent logic, analytical, and problem-resolution skills. Ability to communicate clearly and display patience when dealing with staff members holding varying degrees of technical ability. Ability to contribute creatively in a team-oriented workplace. Highly organized and able to inspire and organize the work of others.
