JOB/POSITION TITLE : Manager of Annual Giving STATUS : Exempt PRIMARY PURPOSE : To manage Hawaiian Humane Society's annual giving program. Support the Development Department's fundraising goals and initiatives through annual giving campaigns that align with our goals and mission. Reports To : Director of Development Supervises : Database Coordinator and volunteers ESSENTIAL DUTIES/FUNCTIONS : Manage all aspects of the annual giving campaign including direct mail, donor management, prospect identification, donor recognition and timely acknowledgement of Grow and manage a robust mid-level giving donor strategy including stewarding current monthly donors and creating a monthly donor giving campaign; works closely with Director of Development to identify potential major giving donors. Oversee/produce monthly report on status of annual giving Develop direct mail and e-campaign concepts and content and identify opportunities to increase annual giving including online revenue. Consult with the Director of Development to strategize and evaluate annual campaign fundraising Manage community fundraising initiatives including but not limited to Aloha United Way, Combined Federal Campaign and Foodland. Oversee the work of the Database Coordinator including supervising and directing work and ensuring timely processing of gifts and generating reports. With the Database Coordinator, oversee volunteers including onboarding, training, and supervision. Direct and prioritize volunteer work plans to ensure that practices are in place to maximize effectiveness and efficiency. JOB CONDITIONS : Work Environment : Indoors in an air-conditioned office; outdoors for special events. Office is on second floor; daily climbing up and down stairs. Equipment Use : PC compatible computer; laser printers; fax and copy machines, scanner, telephone. Hours : Regular work hours are 40 hours per week, typically a Monday-Friday schedule. Occasional support at special events after hours and on weekends. MENTAL, PHYSICAL, & COMMUNICATION DEMANDS : Must maintain and present personal conduct, personal appearance, and office space as a Includes well-groomed and professional appearance and tidy office areas. Must have a flexible disposition and exercise compassion, patience, professionalism, flexibility and tact when dealing with a broad range of volunteers and the Must be able to apply critical thinking, prioritize, work independently, problem solve and meet deadlines. Must have a superior commitment to customer service and building relationships. Requires attention to detail when carrying out assignments. Requires ability to work independently with limited supervision. Occasionally requires moving and lifting boxes up to 30 pounds. Valid driver's license, good driving record, access to own automobile and proof of no fault insurance QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS : Skills/Knowledge : Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and computer knowledge. Strong organizational, administrative, telephone, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with accuracy. Must effectively build and manage relationships. Detail oriented and "big picture" ideology, and self-driven with strong follow-through skills. Must have superior working knowledge and abilities with Raiser's Edge software. Knowledge of Classy, Square, PayPal and other fund-collecting software preferred. Must agree with and be committed to the Hawaiian Humane Society's goals, objectives and programs. Education/Training : Bachelor's Experience : Minimum 2-3 years development and fundraising experience, including annual giving campaigns. Demonstrated strong organizational, administrative, telephone and interpersonal communication skills, detailed and "big picture" ideology, self-driven with strong follow-through skills. Minimum 1-year supervisory experience with staff or volunteers.
