The Department of Natural Resources & Renewables is responsible for the development, management, conservation and protection of forest, parks and wildlife resources, and the administration of the province's Crown land. Together we are working with Nova Scotians to build a better future through sustainable natural resource management as we all benefit from the natural health and wealth of the province. The Shubenacadie Wildlife Park is one of Nova Scotia’s top tourist destinations and has attracted millions of visitors over the past 69 years. The 40-hectare park has enchanted Nova Scotians and visitors alike and provides a wide range of outdoor recreational and educational opportunities Qualifications and Experience You have completed high school or have an equivalent combination of training and experience. To be successful in this role, you should possess: Above average knowledge of carpentry, systems maintenance and be familiar with the roles of the trades Strong interpersonal and communication skills; team player The willingness to work in adverse weather conditions Good physical health, including the ability to perform heavy lifting (at least 25 kg) regularly and frequently. You should also be able to climb, crouch, walk, stand, shovel, rake, and perform general labour to meet the physical demands of the position. Good working knowledge of computers, especially email and data-entry. A valid Nova Scotia Class 5 driver’s license (or equivalent) Clean Criminal. Visit ListedBuy for more information.
