Are you a hardworking, reliable maintenance technician? We’re looking for you! Our company is growing and we need a maintenance professional who has the know-how to keep our facilities and equipment in top shape. You’ll conduct regular inspections and routine maintenance and come up with ideas for preventative measures we can use to maximize the life of our equipment and minimize safety risks. Responsibilities: • Make records of when any equipment was services and repairs were made• Develop and execute preventative maintenance measures to keep our equipment operating efficiently and prevent any safety risks• Handle additional maintenance tasks as needed• Check the building for any damage to doors, windows, walls, and make any repairs as needed• Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and systems such as HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and electrical wiring to make sure they’re operating efficiently and make any needed repairs• Inspect the hotel regularly to ensure it meets safety standards• Arrange for routine maintenance in hotel rooms, lobbies, and facilities• Organize repair projects in a manner that does not disturb guests• Be able to work independently• Act fast to resolve emergency issues, routine guest issues, etc.• Ability to communicate in English is required Qualifications: • Superb attention to detail, work ethic, and communication skills • Over 2 years of maintenance experience• Must have graduated from high school/received GED or equivalent• Applicants should have knowledge of air conditioning units, plumbing systems, and electrical systems• Flexible availability for on-call maintenance requests on nights and weekends Compensation: $14 - $16 hourly About Company: Red Carpet Inn Fort Lauderdale is a hotel close to I-95. New lobby, coffee bar, and restaurant are currently under construction.
