Location: 15320 Cooper Avenue, Harvey, IL 60426 Our frozen food manufacturing company is searching for a Maintenance Mechanic to help maintain our equipment, machinery, and facilities. The individual will assist in continuously improving and maintaining the equipment and the manufacturing process. We encourage you to apply today if you have experience and/or knowledge in mechanical repairs and fabrication, especially in the FOOD INDUSTRY.http://www.americankitchendelights.com/ General Info: -If you are driven and have a mechanically-inclined general skillset, then we are willing to train you! -Work in a small group or individually -A good attitude towards constructive criticism is required -Potential for career growth and advancement Responsibilities: -Fixing machines/equipment due to breakdowns or stalls. -Maintaining and improving machinery/equipment through preventive maintenance and remodeling. -Work with the Manager to train employees to operate the machines properly when needed. -Ensure efficient repair schedules and understand the concept of repair cost estimates -Work with the Manager to complete maintenance and repairs of company equipment and parts -Control downtime by informing production workers of maintenance tasks and projects -Use the machine shop instrumentation and equipment. -Locate causes/sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using testing instruments. -Communicating effectively, having respect for fellow employees -Building and equipment maintenance -Using Electrical and Tools -Troubleshooting issues -Understanding manuals -Being adaptable and self-driven Skills: -Knowledge of welding, milling, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems preferred -Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
