Natural Retreats is looking for a full-time Maintenance Manager to join our Whitefish, MT team ! The Maintenance Manager will help existing site leadership recruit for and gradually develop a Maintenance Team. This position is responsible for overseeing the work of both Maintenance Technicians and vendors, as well as performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the homes within the Natural Retreats portfolio. The Maintenance Manager will ensure their team is consistently meeting brand standards and providing the highest level of service. COMPENSATION: $55,000 - $60,000/year dependent upon experience. Maternity AND Paternity Leave Medical (Traditional PPO-style plans and High Deductible Plan w/ HSA) Dental Vision Flexible Spending Accounts (medical and dependent care) 401K retirement plan options with 3.5% company match Short and Long-Term Disability Insurance (100% company paid) Basic Life Insurance Policy of $50,000 (100% company paid) Supplemental Life Insurance (Employee, Spouse, Child) $200 Wellness Benefit Company iPhone and laptop for work purposes ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Manage and prioritize work orders, assigning them to appropriate team members Ensure the completion of all work orders meets NR standards As needed, perform diversified duties to troubleshoot and/or maintain core home systems such as: HVAC, plumbing, electric, elevators, septic system hot tub servicing, etc. Perform basic repairs and upkeep to interior and exterior home aesthetics to include: painting, drywall repair, basic construction, maintain walkways and/or driveways, snow and/or leaf removal, moving of equipment, removing items from home for disposal, etc. Bill internal employee maintenance charges appropriately for work performed Seek assistance from approved outside vendors as needed, or for maintenance or work functions that require specialized skills and/or equipment Perform preventive and scheduled maintenance in homes, as well as, emergency/unscheduled repairs to homes Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test, and make adjustments Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas Provide development, training, and coaching to the Maintenance Technicians Perform Q&A inspections to maintenance work orders on a regular basis Perform quarterly inspections of fleet vehicles Assist the General Manager in the development of short and long-term plans for growth, performance, and profitability within the Maintenance Department Work effectively with other departments within the organization to execute on strategies, identify opportunities, an ensure company goals are achieved Oversee large departmental projects, as well as, any substantial projects taking place within a property Inform General Manager of any issues that affect the performance and/or morale of the Maintenance or other site team Operate company vehicle in a safe, courteous, and professional manner Obey all traffic and local driving laws Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the company vehicle Abide by the Company Car Policy Report any maintenance issues and/or accidents immediately Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the Team Member for this job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: REQUIRED Valid driver’s license, 3+ years of driving experience and good driving record (Will be utilizing company vehicle) Current Montana Property Management license or ability to obtain and maintain licensure within timeframe identified upon training Ability to pass pre-employment testing which may include drug testing and/or background screening Previous experience in a similar role Basic knowledge of audio/visual, electrical, plumbing, mechanics, and appliance repair Proficiency in technology such as cell phones and basic computer skills Ability to work alone and as part of a team Basic organizational skills to effectively record and catalogue documents on work performed Proactive and flexible in approach to job duties and problem-solving Ability to exercise good judgement Effective oral and verbal communication skills Strong customer/guest focus Keen attention to detail Ability to multitask PREFERRED Basic troubleshooting knowledge of internet routers HVAC certification Experience in the hospitality industry and/or with start-up environments HOURS OF WORK: This is a full-time position. Due to the nature of the job, the Team Member should be flexible with their hours. Weekends and holidays will generally be busy with guest arrivals and departures and are considered working days. We encourage all of our Team Members to take two (2) days off per week where possible, knowing that guests can arrive at unpredictable times. The Team Member should always be available in case of an emergency, which includes evenings and on-call hours. Generally, this may mean working some inconsistent hours. Exact daily schedules may vary from season to season and differ from in-season to off-season.
