ATS Scientific Products is searching for a Machinist to join the team Essential Duties and Responsibilities : To provide machining expertise in support of manufacturing operations.: To set up and operate manual machinery for the fabrication of parts: Develop cutting process for mills based on engineering drawings and models.: Configure tools and ensure efficient production.: Analyze drawings, blueprints, and design data in order to calculate correct part dimension for machines, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed rates.: Monitor output and proper operation of mechanical equipment. Make mechanical adjustments toensure parts are meeting quantity and quality requirements.: Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers and calipers, and fixtures and gauges to check work.: Read Instrumentation and gauges to accurately measure dimensions on parts that are being machined within a .001tolerance.: Communicate recommendations to modify processes to improve productivity and quality.: Carry out other duties reasonable within capability as required by the Machine Shop Manager.: Maintain a neat, clean and organized work area.: Suggest changes for improved operations and cost savings: Follow all safety policies, precautions, recommendations and procedures as may be applicable. Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Skills: High School or GED Diploma required. Associates Degree or Certification in related field preferred.: Minimum of 7+ years of experience with manual milling and/or lathe machine.: Experience setting up and troubleshooting machines.: Able to demonstrate good manufacturing practices and be able to select tooling and machining resources for manufacture of parts.: Strong mathematical skills.: Blueprint with GD and T reading capabilities.
