Description:

The Field Lube Technician is responsible for performing the required daily service and maintenance checks and completing the required preventative maintenance on the equipment both in the shop and in the field. Must have Class A CDL with hazmat endorsement. DUTIES Perform all operations using safety best methods, other operating best methods, and in compliance with JMAC Resources' safety policies and practices Operate the lube truck in a safe and productive manner Service equipment fleet daily which includes fueling, greasing, and daily service checks Perform the required preventative maintenance schedule on heavy equipment and trucks Retrieve oil samples from equipment components Maintain the oil, fuel, and antifreeze quantities on the lube truck Ensure that each piece of equipment is properly serviced and ready to be placed back into production at the start of the next shift Read and interpret equipment's maintenance manual Follow directions from immediate supervisor Work together as a team to complete the task Other Duties as assigned JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS Valid US issued Class A Driver's License with clean driving record with a current Medical card Must have Hazmat and tanker endorsements 2 year experience as a service technician, light duty mechanic, or has received training as a diesel mechanic Demonstrated ability to work to a high standard of quality and efficiency to meet customer expectations, timelines, and company project goals Must have a full understanding of the types of oil used in heavy equipment and trucks Demonstrated ability to schedule and coordinate work efficiently Knowledge of the operation of various pieces of earthmoving equipment/trucks and trailers STANDARD REQUIREMENTS Demonstrated commitment to safety as expressed in JMAC Energy Services corporate value People First, Safety Always Ability to pass background and drug and alcohol tests Availability to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required Ability to work safely in all types of weather Timely and regular attendance is an expectation of performance for all JMAC Energy Services employees. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively, in English, to customers or employees of organization. Ability to work independently and in a group or team environment The employee must have the ability to lift and/or move more than 50 pounds Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
