This role involves providing expert legal counsel and strategic guidance in complex litigation matters, focusing on product liability and commercial litigation within the pharmaceutical and medical device industries.Job Overview:The Litigation Of Counsel will oversee and contribute to litigation strategy, manage case development, and collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to achieve favorable outcomes.Duties:Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and third partiesSupervise and mentor associate attorneysCoordinate with expert witnesses and consultantsAssist in fact development and conduct depositionsReview and draft discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memorandaContribute to case strategy developmentRequirements:Minimum 8+ years of litigation experience, ideally at an AmLaw 100 firmSpecialization in product liability and/or complex commercial litigationExperience in the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors preferredStrong analytical and writing skills with meticulous attention to detailSound business judgment and organizational abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a teamExcellent oral and written communication skillsEffective research and problem-solving capabilitiesJD degree with strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law schoolAdmission to practice law in New York and Minnesota requiredEducation and Certifications:JD degree from an accredited law schoolAdditional qualifications such as MD, MPH, PharmD, or Epidemiology degree are advantageousAdmission to practice law in New York and MinnesotaSkills:Proficient management skills to supervise and guide junior attorneysDemonstrated ability to influence and persuade othersCapability to handle physical and sedentary activities, including extended computer work and virtual meetingsCommitment to meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work productsBenefits:The firm offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan.
