The ideal candidate will work independently and collaboratively within a team environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to achieving client objectives.Responsibilities:Conduct legal research and analysis on issues relevant to litigation cases.Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.Propound and respond to discovery requests.Meet with clients to discuss case details and provide legal advice.Make court appearances to argue motions and attend case management conferences.Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations.Actively manage case files, including maintaining deadlines and ensuring compliance with court rules.Maintain regular and direct communication with clients regarding case status and strategy.Requirements:Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Licensed to practice law in Kansas and Missouri.3+ years of experience in litigation, preferably with a focus on civil litigation.Proven ability to handle a diverse caseload and prioritize tasks efficiently.Strong oral advocacy and written communication skills.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Preferred Skills:Experience with electronic discovery and litigation technology.Familiarity with local court rules and procedures.Previous experience in conducting depositions and arguing motions in court.Demonstrated commitment to client service and satisfaction.Benefits:Competitive salary commensurate with experience.Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.Professional development opportunities and support for continuing legal education.
