Job DescriptionLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN):Contractpersonnel are responsible for the following PRN tasks:Provide Skilled nursing services: Skilled nursing services are provided by a RN or a LPN under the supervision of a RN, in accordance with a medically approved plan of care (Doctor’s Orders).Thrive Healthcare is approved by the Dept. of Community Health to provide the following skilled Nursing Services Wound Care and Dressing Changes, Tracheostomy Care, Medication Set-Up and Administration, Medical Management, Catheter Care, Tube Feeding Assistance, Diabetic Care/ Insulin Injections, Vital Sign Monitoring, and Colostomy and Urostomy CareThe following is required in order to qualify for LPN position with Thrive Healthcare, LLC:Be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of GAPositive previous work experience verified by providing a 5-year employment history/ or complete employment history if person has not been employed 5 yearsAt least 2 years of experience as a nurseAt least one-year experience in home health or in caring for the Elderly or the Intellectually and Developmentally DisabledPass a criminal background checkHave no history of abuse or neglectSubmit to random drug screeningProvide negative TB Skin test resultProvide current CPR/ First Aid CertificationPersonal Vehicle/ dependable transportation with proof of insuranceNo physical restrictions that will interfere with carrying out job duties listed above(As an LPN, you will spend much of your time on your feet.
