Relies on knowledge, experience, and judgment to accomplish tasks in combination with clinical supervision from the registered nurse and direction from the Registered Nurse and/or Administrator. Requires graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program and current LPN license with no restrictions to practice nursing.RHA is Looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to Join our Team!!!!Pay: $29.00Schedule: Full timeREPORTS TO:Regional Nursing DirectorSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:This position has no supervisory responsibilities.Job Responsibilities:Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilitiesObserve, assist with gathering health related data, and report the health needs or the people we support to the registered nurseCoordinate preventative and routine medical care for people supportedDocument nursing care providedAssist physicians with on-site medical clinics where applicableProvide health related trainings to unlicensed personnel according to state regulationsConduct medication pass observations in the home to ensure staff competency according to state regulationsConduct medication closest assessmentsPerform quality assurance checks and observations to ensure unlicensed personnel are performing health related tasks as assigned according to state regulationsObserve for and report any abnormal health related findings to the physicianCommunicate with physicians, pharmacies, medical suppliers, and the Interdisciplinary TeamAdvocate for the people supported and assist with developing community supports to promote optimal health for the people supportedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program.Current LPN license with no restrictions to practice nursing.Current CPR Certification or eligibility to certify for CPR.Possess credentials required by Federal or State lawMust be able to communicate effectively with Interdisciplinary Team Members, as well as the people supported and their families.Must be able to work independently, be organized, and possess the ability to prioritize work tasks.Must be at least 18 years of agePHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:Regularly required to lift 20 lbs.Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.Must be able to pull a minimum of 25 lbs.Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop.Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.Required to regularly stand and walk.Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level requiring to work on hands, knees, bending, standing and lifting.Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.Must be able to talk and hear.#INDNURSERHA is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer, prohibits discrimination based on the following protected categories: race, creed, color, national origin, nationality, ancestry, age, sex/gender, marital status, civil status, domestic partnership status, familial status, religion, affectional or sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, atypical hereditary cellular or blood trait, genetic information, liability for service in the Armed Forces of the United States, or disability.Pre-employment screening:Complete criminal backgroundName checked in the registries.
