Position: Library Instructional Media Assistant Position type: Full Time Position location (School): Tacony Academy Charter School Department: Student Support Reports to: Librarian Employment status: Non-Exempt Employment duration: 10 Months Position Summary: The Library Instructional Media Assistant (LIMA) assists the librarian with non-teaching related tasks needed for the upkeep of the library in order to support librarians. Major Responsibilities Support librarian in checking books in and out of the library. Maintaining the integrity of the Atriuum Processing and reshelve returned books Maintaining library order and organization. Assisting students in finding books. Maintaining and developing relations with students and meeting their needs. Assisting with new book processing and repairing damaged books Knowledge, Skills and Abilities clerical reading comprehension active listening coordination Service Orientation Critical Thinking Information Ordering Technology Skills Library software Basic office equipment Education and certifications Certification requirement High School Education or equivalent Physical Requirements Sitting Walking Standing Talking Pushing Driving Moving Up and Down from a seated position American Paradigm Schools are Caring School Communities.
