MUST HAVE HOSPITAL INPATIENT EXPERIENCE. We are a collaborative team with plenty opportunities for clinical growth and development demonstrated by through onboarding orientation, mentorship, continuing education, Clinical Advancement Ladder, CEU's and Department In-services.The Occupational Therapist 1 adheres to department policies regarding the timeframe, form, and content of written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Communicates effectively with patients, family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts while completing all administrative tasks and other responsibilities in support of the operating unit. Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols while performing re-evaluations, according to department guidelines, and adjusting the treatment plan as needed. Performs re-evaluations according to department guidelines - adjusting the treatment plan as needed.Requirements:Education: B.S. in Occupational Therapy, Masters PreferredCertification: BLS through American Heart Association (AHA)Licensure: VA License requiredSpecial Skills: Basic computer knowledge, proficient in English verbal and written skillInova Job ID #656126.
