This is a full-time onsite position, office will be located in South Miami. PLG Damage Attorneys, PLLC is seeking a full-time, highly motivated, and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys in all aspects of case management, legal research, and client communication. Responsibilities: --- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and subpoenas. --- Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all relevant documents are filed appropriately. --- Monitor and calendar case deadlines, court appearances, and hearings. --- Conduct legal research to support attorneys in case preparation. --- Summarize and analyze legal documents, statutes, and regulations. --- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to the firm's practice areas. --- Act as a liaison between clients, attorneys, and court personnel. --- Communicate case updates and gather information from clients as needed. --- Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive client relationships. --- Draft and proofread legal correspondence, memos, and other documents. --- Schedule appointments, and meetings, and maintain attorney calendars. --- Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, directing them to the appropriate parties. Qualifications: --- Ability to commute to our South Miami office location. --- Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or related field preferred. --- Bilingual (Spanish/English) HIGHLY preferred. --- At least 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal in a law firm setting required. --- Familiarity with legal research tools and databases. --- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. --- Strong written and verbal communication skills. --- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software. --- Detail-oriented and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. --- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. --- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to take initiative. --- Certification as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal is a plus.
